Indian Child Welfare Law Center

The Law Center is a nonprofit agency that provides legal services to American Indian families in the child protection system. The agency's mission is "to work with the Indian community to preserve and reunite Indian families by providing culturally appropriate legal services governed by the Indian Child Welfare Act of 1978 (ICWA) to children, parents, extended family members, and tribes; and to serve as a community development resource for ICWA through Education, advocacy and public policy."
The Law Center addresses the legal and social service needs of American Indian families involved in various stages of the child protection system and helps connect Indian children at risk with an existing network of people and programs to preserve, strengthen, and reunite the American Indian family.
