Council Tree Pow Wow & Cultural Festival

Children's Cultural Center
On Saturday of the event we have a Children's Cultural Center where the children have an opportunity to work with the Ute Artisans in making an American Indian craft for their keepsake. They get to make medicine bags, beaded necklaces or paint pottery. This activity is free with the price of admissions. They do need to register with a parent before the activities start.

Tipi Village
During the Festival the Tipi Village will be offering Guided
and Self-guided Tours. Learn about Tipi Etiquette, how to enter a Tipi and other Cultural information concerning Tipi's. There will be a constructing demonstration, check the schedule of that activity at the Tipi Village.

Council Tree Pow Wow
Cultural Festival will also be having a Parade on Saturday. The
Parade takes place at Confluence Park. The Southern Ute Tribe's Health Services will be hosting a Walk/Run Saturday at 8am. The Health Services division will provide a 1 mile walk/run as well as a traditional medicines and food presentation. For further info please contact Health Services at 970-799-2884.

Also, on Saturday the Ute Tribes host the Adult Cultural Center. In this area Adults have the opportunity to experience the Ute Artisans doing such things as Basket Weaving, Beading and hearing Ute History.

Costs: 
$7 per day or $15 for a 3 day pass, $6 Seniors (65 yr. and older) per day, Children 7-12 years: $3, 7 years Free
