2008 Four Corners Lecture Series - Rez Rage: Growing Up in Santa Clara Pueblo
Speaker: Ben Chavarria
ALL OUR RELATIONS: NATIVE AMERICAN PATTERNS OF KIN AND COMMUNITY
The Four Corners Lecture Series is an annual program sponsored by Mesa Verde National Park, Fort Lewis College, the Anasazi Heritage Center, Crow Canyon Arhcaeological Center, the Cortez Cultural Center, Chaco Culture National Historical Park, and Aztec Ruins National Monument. Each year these organizations develop a theme for lectures to be given year-round in various locations in the Four Corners area.
The 2008 theme, "All Our Relations: Native American Patterns of Kin and Community," focuses on everyday aspects of politics, health care, artistic expression, spirituality, social structure, education, and other cultural phenomena--both past and present--that need to be better understood if positive intercultural relationships are to be successfully realized.
