Native Wind

Native Wind was formed to protect the environment and promote the welfare of indigenous people by facilitating the development of renewable energy resources on tribal lands. Specific goals include:

* Educating the public about the benefits of renewable energy development on tribal lands

* Secure public and private financial and other support for renewable energy development on tribal lands

* Promote local use and export of tribal renewable energy; promote markets for tribal renewable energy and renewable energy credits.

* Secure electric grid access for tribal renewable energy projects.
