Native American Cuisine from diffrent regions of North & South American and Canada.Native Sisters Harvest was founded in 1997 by Carrese P. Gullo, (Eastern Cherokee) and Sylvia Lamar, (Wampanoag). While working at the American Indian Community House, Carrese and Sylvia found a common interest in cooking. During community luncheons and events both talked about starting a catering company. Many people began to take notice of the love they both had for cooking and wanted to hire Carrese and Sylvia for events. Both ladies decided to start working together and form Native Sisters Harvest. Their focus would be Native American foods, through food they want to educate people about Native culture. It was important to learn new recipes from different regions of Indian Country and create new recipes based on traditional food concepts, they label it “contemporary Native American food.” Carrese said “cooking is a true art form for all the senses.”
