Special American Indian Festival with up to 12 tribes represented to celebrate their culture and traditions that once thrived in North Alabama. Friday activities are for school children. Saturday's events will be scheduled performances to include dance, storytelling, hoopdancing, and special tributes. The climax will be a special show with canoes in the spring and the lighting of the torches, a tribute to Tuscumbians who were credited for always treating the Indians in a fair and humanitarian way.
